“Meditation? Oh that’s just for hippies who wear those big balloon style pants.” Not so, honest!
Despite being a little more widely embraced now, many people still get a little tense at the mere mention of the word meditation. It evokes fear; not being able to do it, getting frustrated by trying, feeling totally awkward or silly etcetera. Totally!
Remember, just like everything else, meditation is something to learn and to practice - it doesn’t just automatically happen because we’re sat with our eyes closed cross-legged on a re-purposed sofa cushion on the floor…
Well, these lovely short and sweet meditations are perfect to try out., whether you’re new to meditation or not They come courtesy of my friend Em Huckstep - Yoga Teacher, Wellness and Business Coach. They’re only a few minutes long so why not give one a try?
Simply find a nice peaceful spot to sit with a straight back (on a chair is fine by the way), take a few deep breaths in and out through your nose and then hit “play”.
