let’s get real about yoga

Do you think you need to be super bendy and have crazy balance skills to do yoga?

Negative. Sure yoga can help with those things but don’t think you need to be able to touch your toes to go to your first yoga session, okay?

Do you feel slightly uncomfortable at the idea of a yoga class or studio? Mmmm hmmm. I totally get it and you’re not alone. That’s why this is a club as I really want people to feel welcome. (Yes, including you!)

The real benefits of yoga are discovered when you do more than just the physical poses. Throw in some breathing techniques and maybe a little meditation - that’s the good stuff right there.

Nothing in life is perfect, yoga included. The “perfect pose”? No such thing.

So let’s get real and do some yoga shall we? Book a class here.

“saying you’re not flexible enough to do yoga is like saying you’re too dirty to have a bath!”

ABOUT ME

Hey, I’m Heather! Here’s the short version of my story…

I first got in to yoga to help me with my anxiety.
Phew, I said it - I’m glad that bits out of the way.

After practicing on and off for ten years, I found myself at an epic spot in Bali called Yoga Barn, wondering what it might be like to do my yoga teacher training. Soon after, I took a sabbatical from my day job (Marketing Manager at FatFace Clothing in case you were wondering) and hopped on a plane with my bulging backpack. That was the start of my three-month adventure which kicked off in India where I did my 200-hour teacher training course.

And you know what? The cliché is true. Life really did change…

A few years on, I’ve got over 300 hours of teacher training under my belt and I’ve discovered that yoga does have all amazing benefits people rave about. It’s as much about life off the yoga mat as it is on.
It has the most incredible power and I want to share this magic in the most real, honest and bullsh*t-free way I can because it is so damn good.
