i’m new to yoga. Can i come along?
Yes, absolutely. All classes are suitable for all abilities and beginners are always always welcome. Remember everyone’s been a beginner at some stage!
what do i need to bring?
Water. Any additional layers you might want to put on for the still section of the class (think cosy stuff - a hoody, socks). And you’re welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you have one.
can yoga help ease anxiety and stress?
Absolutely. Yoga, particularly when practiced with meditation and breathing exercises, can be incredibly helpful to ease feelings associated with anxiety and stress.
do i need to have good balance to do yoga?
Absolutely not. No matter what your balance skills, you can do yoga.
i can’t touch my toes. is that a problem?
Nope. No way. Touching your toes can come later, if at all. There’s so much more to yoga than stretchy hamstrings!
WHAT IS YIN YOGA?
Yin Yoga is a slow paced and passive style of yoga practice where postures are practiced on the floor in a static way for an extended period of time ranging from two to five minutes.
what should i wear?
Something comfortable that you can easily move in without feeling restricted.
CAN I GET CHANGED AT THE CLASS LOCATIONS?
There is only a small WC at Runcton Manor, so best to come along in your yoga clothing for a class there.
how early should i arrive?
Feel free to arrive up to five minutes before the class start time to settle in, get comfortable or just take some time out before we start.
